He has his far share of healing scrapes and bruises, and is back into his cigarettes. ]

Worse, as in, backsliding from who they are. Were. Being afraid, being resentful. Losing trust. You know, that sort've thing.

I would have thought it be widespread.

I think it does happen to quite a few inmates. There's a young man called David who seems to be a notable example.

There is. It's quite common, for the people here who are weak.
