tobecaprican: (oh what a lonely night)

[ Gaius has sort of rolled out of bed and not paid any attention to the network in the past twelve hours so here, have a completely ignorant Colonial transmitting a message across the network and rubbing his eyes sleepily. ]

Right, so, a million network messages have been marked as read. And I'll barricade the door if there's a disaster on.

I was hoping to talk to someone in the labs, if you've any time.
with_discipline: (I have no idea what you're talking about)

[personal profile] with_discipline 2011-11-12 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
About?
with_discipline: (No really. Go on. Uh-huh. You idiot.)

[personal profile] with_discipline 2011-11-12 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Wardens conduct various projects. I am shifting mine toward a study of the Barge.
with_discipline: (I'm listening. Really.)

[personal profile] with_discipline 2011-11-12 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
I believe Capa is studying dark matter and Narvin is studying chronological effects on the Barge. I will be exploring the outside of the Barge, as we have no clear picture of what the ship looks like. [Or hides. :|]
with_discipline: (So here's the thing. It's a big thing.)

[personal profile] with_discipline 2011-11-12 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
That would depend on which warden you work with.
with_discipline: (That's lovely Doctor are you done now?)

[personal profile] with_discipline 2011-11-12 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
Yet it remains the truth.
with_discipline: (Did you have something useful to add?)

[personal profile] with_discipline 2011-11-12 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Do you have any experience in environmental suits?
with_discipline: (Shut your face I'm logicing)

[personal profile] with_discipline 2011-11-13 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Then I suggest you discuss opportunities to work in the lab with other wardens conducting experiments. I can teach you the protocols necessary for these suits, but it would be time consuming.

No disaster. Just...be cautious.

And you know I always have time to talk about the lab.

[identity profile] ourlastbesthope.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
I don't believe in that. But yes. I wake up bored. I try not to stay that way, though.

[identity profile] ourlastbesthope.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Nonsense superstition is really all that is.

And, death does tend to put an end to any potential that you had. So if it's being wasted here, it's better than what it would be doing otherwise.

[identity profile] ourlastbesthope.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 10:53 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Hm, yeah, it was. Sorry.

Have you not been able to find something to do?

[identity profile] ourlastbesthope.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 01:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Happy little worker bee was never my calling either. But I'm sure there's something to do.

If you want to be in there while I am and work on what you want, within reason, I'll assume responsibility.

[identity profile] ourlastbesthope.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
It's not a problem. Just...well, you're not going to try and blow up the ship, are you?

Private

[identity profile] ourlastbesthope.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
That's fine. [And then a pause. Capa didn't even think about his warden. He tended to forget that his inmate friends even had them.]

Oh, right, yeah. You probably should.

I've been told I qualify as a disaster!

[identity profile] frakkingkara.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't every day a disaster, Dr. Baltar?

Forgot to say - Audio

[identity profile] frakkingkara.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[Have a loud, raucous laugh.]

Ouch. Gee, Doc, and here I thought I was pretty unforgettable.

Why are you on this frequency anyway? You know some of us actually use the comms to save lives and not to hear ourselves talk, right?

audio!

[identity profile] frakkingkara.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
If I was a betting sort of girl, I'd put money on no one giving a frak about your complaints.

Are you actually in one of the Vipers? Chief is going to have your ass.

audio! - if I ever say too much tell me and I will edit!

[identity profile] frakkingkara.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
The Barge? Is that one of the civilian ships? How's that Cylon Detector coming along? [AKA: Why the hell are you on some random civvie ship, get your ass in the lab.]

Yes, I'm a Colonial. Gods, Baltar, you may be a genius, but you are one screwed up frakhead. You know me.

audio!

[identity profile] frakkingkara.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
Samples. From some civilian barge. [That she's never even heard of.]

So there are no Cylons on board Galactica?

Or Colonial One?

Or any of the dozens of other ships that actually matter?

The lab?

[ Hmmface. He switches to video, filtered. ]

I suppose you've Jesse out and around. Get to talk to him?
